Christina Aguilera ditches eye makeup

Christina Aguilera has ditched her usual heavy eye makeup and red lipstick in favour of a more natural look for her upcoming film debut, according to the Daily Mail.

She was spotted on the set of Burlesque in Los Angeles on Monday sporting a golden blonde wig and natural makeup.

In the film Aguilera plays a small town girl who gets a job as a cocktail waitress in a burlesque bar and subsequently aspires to become one of the best performing exotic dancers.

The star told the news provider: "I don"t see makeup as a defence. I see it as a creative outlet."

She added: "Who"s to say a little mascara doesn"t make you feel more confident when you pop it on and look in the mirror?"

Fellow film star Catherine Zeta Jones"s eye makeup was recently praised as being "very on trend" by Stylelist.com after her appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman.
