Christina Aguilera has ditched her usual heavy eye makeup and red lipstick in favour of a more natural look for her upcoming film debut, according to the Daily Mail.
She was spotted on the set of Burlesque in Los Angeles on Monday sporting a golden blonde wig and natural makeup.
In the film Aguilera plays a small town girl who gets a job as a cocktail waitress in a burlesque bar and subsequently aspires to become one of the best performing exotic dancers.
The star told the news provider: "I don`t see makeup as a defence. I see it as a creative outlet."
She added: "Who`s to say a little mascara doesn`t make you feel more confident when you pop it on and look in the mirror?"
Fellow film star Catherine Zeta Jones`s eye makeup was recently praised as being "very on trend" by Stylelist.com after her appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman.
